spending requests.

http://www.census.gov/main/www/popclock.html says that the US has
approximately 0.304 billion people

   (75.9+82.3)/.304 = $520.394 per person for FY08 
   
The above is per person (every man, woman, and child) for the year.
Let's express that per family per month.  The typical Nashua family has
3.05 people, according to
http://www.citytowninfo.com/places/new-hampshire/nashua 
and of course there are 12 months in a year:

   (520.394*3.05)/12 = $132.266 per family per month

As to cumulative costs -

http://www.nationalpriorities.org/costofwar_home estimates that Nashua
residents have spent $156,489,400 on the war in Iraq thus far (from 2001
through May, 2008).

86,605 people in Nashua, so the cumulative costs per person (every man,

   156489400/86605 = $1806.932 per person since start of war
